Two plays in one binding in a 'flip' format. Clean, crisp and unmarked. The Birds is illustrated by Marian Parry and The Frogs is illustrated with wood engravings by John Austen. A beautiful design, the grey paper over boards has a decorative strip in red and yellow for The Birds and in blue and yellow for The Frogs. This design is repeated on the pages in the center of the book. Black linen half binding with gold lettering. Sandglass I:25 laid in. The sandglass itself has some age toning. Light grey slipcase is firm with a narrow line of toning at the opening.

There is an very faint marking at the bottom of the front and back boards near the spine that indicates the book once drew some moisture. Despite this, the outer boards are not discolored.
