Full-page b&w engravings throughout which are quite stunning, plus 5 chromolithographs. Hinges broken, approximately a dozen pages have 2 to 3 inch tears. Page two has a diagonal tear of 9 1/2". One page has pencil markings. Text begins on page 2, thus the first page and the content pages are lost. The final page is number 410, so there is a least on page missing from the back. Full color pastedown on front board, ad for Miss Parloa's Cook books on the back board. Cloth spine badly worn, covers scuffed and worn.
