Unknown 19th Century Valentine Card Very Good - Approximately 6 1/4" x 4 1/2" when folded. This card is die-cut and embossed with a paper lace frame on the front. There are three small pictures glued on top of the paper lace. The lace is missing two corners and another small piece - about 20% loss. Inside there is an illustration and a two stanza poem. There are four points where the paper connects, the front to the back on the fold. One of these is worn through. Unmarked.. Price:

Hard Cover Very Good No Jacket Issued Jacket Small (2 1/2" x 4") volume, bound in blue with embossed design on front and back, Spine is gilt, which is worn in the middle, there is a 2' split in the cloth where the spine folds. Corner are sharp. Two books of 16 pages each bound together. Unmarked, pages lightly tanned. Hand-colored illustrations throughout, 11 in the first part, 9 in the second part. Games in the first part include leap frog, stilts, plank and others. The stories in the second part are all about military figues and include General Winfield Scott and General Mercer. Unknown McGuffey's Fifth Eclectic Readerm Revised Edition Eclectic Educational Series Cincinnati Van Antwerp, Bragg & Co. 1879 Hardcover Good + 352 pages, b&w illustrations within. There are several inscriptions on the blank endpapers of the book, front and back. The back blank endpaper also contains a sticker advertising Dr. Kilmer's Swamp Root (cures all urinary disorders). The center signature has pulled away from the sewn binding at the bottom. It is still holding firmly and other than this the binding is in very good condition.
