Tightly bound in orange cloth with stamp of bus at bottom on front cover same color as the rest of the cover. Gold lettering on front is bright, spine lettering slightly faded. Jacket is bright, with wear at extremities, especially front fold, a few chips, now in mylar. No marks on book, pages clean. No indication on copyright page of other printings. Back flap advertises "Red Pony", front flap advertises "The Portable Steinbeck".
